Erin & Marion {Part 3}

After we were done taking pictures at City Park Erin and Marion joined the cocktail hour that was taking place at the western room and terrace of the museum. I love the room’s modernistic/industrial design, and the guests were really enjoying the view.

I absolutely love this image!

One of the highlights of the reception was the lighting of the Brass Oil Lamp. Marion and his family are from Sri Lanka and this is a traditional ritual that they perform at weddings to “acquire merit or to avert evil influence”. The groom and bride light up the lamp to signify the bright new future together.
